5 Days and 4 Nights Over the New Year

Enjoy a thrilling long New Year’s weekend in Reykjavik. The city is dotted with public bonfires and at midnight, amazing firework show across the arctic sky.

Day 1 Dec 29 – Arrival

Arrival at Keflavik Airport. Transfer from Keflavik Airport to your accommodation in Reykjavík.

Day 2 Dec 30 – City or Optional Tour

Day at leisure. After breakfast you will have the opportunity to enjoy all that Reykjavik has to offer or go on the Golden Circle tour, taking in the natural highlights of the south of Iceland: Kerid, a huge volcanic crater turned lake; Gullfoss, Iceland‘s most famous and picturesque waterfall; Geysir, the world-famous geothermal area; Thingvellir, National Park of greathistoric interest and beauty. If you like more action you can go the Golden circle on a superjeep and visit a glacier for an adventure.

Day 3 Dec 31- Blue Lagoon

Day at leisure or maybe you wish to visit the fascinating Blue Lagoon and have a relaxing bath in the nature before ending the last day of the year. In the evening we advise you to book a restaurant in advance, as the few ones that are open will be very busy! After dinner a visit the traditional bonfires all around Reykjavík is a must. At midnight you can watch the spectacular fireworks with a great view from one of Reykjavik´s high points and with luck, be accompanied by some fabulous Northern Lights. For celebrations after midnight, there is no better place to be than right in the old town.

Day 4 Jan 1 – The Day After

On the first day of the year, most Icelanders have a lie-in. For those who are fit and active, you can choose from several excursions or check what’s on in Reykjavik!

Day 5 Jan 2 – Departure

After breakfast you will take the shuttle transfer from your hotel to the airport. Flight back home.
